Curriculum Development Opportunities![]() The EKU Center for Economic Education is seeking teachers who are using the K-2 level of the Financial Fitness for Life curriculum who could work in conjunction with the music teachers at their schools on this project. We would like to have a digital recording of K-2 students singing some of the songs written in the curriculum. There are 12 songs, and we would like to have a CD that includes 5 of the songs. The songs are interspersed throughout the curriculum, and we would like to have at least 1 song from each of the “themes” in the curriculum included on the CD. The words should be clearly understandable with music in the background. We plan to use the music on our web page and in future FFFL presentations, and we will distribute it to other Center for Economic Education Directors in Kentucky as well as to the Kentucky Council on Economic Education. They may use the music in programs and fundraising activities. We will also make copies available to interested teachers who are using the FFFL curriculum. We are offering a $30 stipend to each teacher involved – 1 economics teacher and 1 music teacher. Interested teachers should apply by sending the names of both teachers, school name, grades taught, and list of songs you will record (titles and page numbers from the curriculum) to Cynthia.Harter@eku.edu. Applications will be reviewed as received, and teams will be chosen on a first-come, first served basis until the project needs are met. Contact Cynthia Harter if you have additional questions. |
